Imaq, Havið, Havet - 2024
The artwork Imaq, Havið, The Sea thematizes the ties between Denmark, the Faroe Islands and Greenland, and it is made by the artists Hansina Iversen from the Faroe Islands, Jessie Kleemann from Greenland and Gudrun Hasle from Denmark. In the work, Jessie Kleemann has set up three fish, such as large cod that swim in all our waters, and eggs that are made of Greenlandic, white marble, Gudrun Hasle has spread large dandelions into the water, just as dandelions are scattered all over our countries and Hansina Iversen has made 18 stars in different colours and Faroese basalt. Each star marks an island in the Faroe Islands.

The work can be viewed on the quay and is a gift to H.M. Queen Margrethe 2nd donated by the Government and the Danish Parliament on the occasion of Her Majesty's 50th Jubilee.
